Movie poster analysis
On the left side of the screen the characters are holding red light savers and have a red glow around them, the connotations of this are that these characters are dangerous and will try to cause havoc in the film because red is seen as a colour of death and danger. The character in the top left is the largest character on the film poster, meaning that they are threatening as they are bigger than any other character showing that they believe they are the best.
On the right side the characters are using blue light savers as the connotations of blue means that they are safe and are the good characters that are trying to save everyone as blue is seen as a positive colour. The character in the top left is a large character that stands out in the movie poster meaning that they will play an important role in the film. In the centre of the film poster there is a character that is holding a red-light saver, but half of the light saver has turned orange due to the sunlight, the connotations of this means that this character starts of on the dark side but over the course of the film they turn good and try to stop the dark side. Aswell as she is facing the dark side as if she is protecting everyone from them.
In the bottom left there is a spaceship that is shooting green lasers, the connotations of green are natural, this means that theses ships are trying to neutralise the fight. In the bottom left there is fire and explosions which would give the idea that this film is actioned packed and exiting due to explosions have an existing connotation on them. In the middle of the poster there is a group of characters that all have an orange glow around them, which could mean that they aren’t sure which side to be on as orange has the connotations of neutral.
